Thanks to our people, who are our most important asset, and our long- standing experience in the operation of vessels, the fleet managed by Fafalios Shipping SA is recognised by national and international institutions for its technical excellence.

In 2018, Fafalios Shipping SA managed to achieve a 0.74 ratio of deficiencies per Port State Control inspection, which is a great ratio in comparison with the Greek- flag bulk carrier average of 1.98.

As of June 1, 2018, the Fafalios Shipping SA fleet consists of 5 dry bulk vessels with an aggregate capacity of more than 320,000 dwt, mainly consisting of Supramax and Panamax vessels.


Energy Saving

In the field of energy saving our vessels are:

Fitted with energy-saving ducts and high efficiency propellers from newbuilding

Coated with good quality anti-fouling paint systems applied on substantially grit- blasted hulls to reduce roughness

Subject to regular propeller cleaning/ polishing

Powered by regularly maintained engine plants with special emphasis on fuel system performance

All fuels received onboard are analysed by VPS for quality


Milestones:

In 2015, Fafalios Shipping SA became one of the first companies to adopt CO2 emissions monitoring as per the EU MRV regulation

In 2013, Fafalios Shipping SA introduced SEEMP & CEEMP and since then the company has consistently followed the best practice approach for optimizing the vessels’ energy efficiency
